A new category of appointment alerts are coming. Designed for appointments that are weeks or months in the future, you can set an unlimited number of alerts and time intervals for your calendar.
Let’s say you have a client who has an appointment three months from now. You’d like them to get an initial confirmation when you enter the appointment into your calendar. Great. Then, you want to send them an alert one month out. No problem. At one week out, you want them to get another alert.
Finally, one day before the appointment, they get their normal reminder – to which they respond, confirming that they’ll be there.
Setting your optional alert rules apply to all clients who are enabled for reminders. Set it up in your Settings >> Reminders panel. Of course, alerts are only sent for appointments that fall inside the time intervals you’ve established, but you’ll want to give some thought to how many alerts over what time interval you need to be most helpful to your client.
